Available Job Positions
1. Production Assistant
Number Required: 1
The Production Assistant will support the Production Manager in monitoring daily manufacturing activities, interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with local workers, and tracking production progress.
Key Responsibilities
Read, print, measure, and make minor modifications to furniture drawings using AutoCAD. Help translate technical drawings into clear production instructions for workshop workers. Monitor daily production progress across cutting, edge banding, drilling, assembly, and packing. Communicate production tasks and technical requirements to local workers and help resolve operational issues. Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to verify raw material requirements and prevent shortages. Record production output, defect rates, and working hours, and prepare basic reports using Excel. Support workshop safety compliance and implementation of workplace procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design and Manufacturing, Wood Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. AutoCAD proficiency is required , including reading drawings, measuring dimensions, and printing drawings. Good English proficiency for written and oral communication with Chinese management. Fluency in Amharic and proficiency in Afaan Oromoo. No prior work experience is required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Internship experience in a furniture factory, manufacturing workshop, or construction site is an advantage. Strong communication, coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to a factory workshop environment.
Preferred Technical Skill: AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
