Role description
St. Gabriel General Hospital was established in September 1996 and is the first private hospital of its kind in Ethiopia. St. Gabriel General Hospital provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist services for both local and international residents of Ethiopia. Over the past 15 years, the hospital has served over 100,00 inpatients and outpatients.
St. Gabriel General Hospital provides 24 hours of medical services every day from Monday to Sunday for both in and outpatients. The Hospitals provide high-quality emergency services, Out-patient and specialist patient-focused care which is accessible and responsive.
Position: Junior Accountant
Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Cnet and Peachtree).
Key Responsibilities
- Ledger Maintenance: Post journal entries, maintain ledgers, and update financial statements.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and company accounts to ensure zero discrepancies.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable (invoices and vendor payments) and accounts receivable (customer billing and collections).
- Financial Reporting: Assist senior staff in generating cash flow statements, income statements, and budget tracking.
- Cash & Petty Cash: Manage petty cash funds and record daily cash transactions.
- Compliance & Auditing: Help compile documents for internal and external audits, and assist with basic tax filings.
