SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia (SOS CVE) is a non-governmental, child-focused social development organization committed to providing vulnerable children and youth with a loving family environment, quality education, and life skills to build a bright and self-reliant future.
The SOS Children’s Villages Addis Ababa Program Location is seeking a qualified, reliable, and safety-conscious professional to fill a temporary position as a Project Driver for the STEP Project. This short-term assignment is for a duration of one month, serving as a coverage driver while the regular project driver is on annual leave.
The primary objective of the Project Driver is to ensure uninterrupted, safe, and efficient transportation services for project team members, official visitors, and program materials. The driver will operate the project vehicle in accordance with organizational policies, traffic laws, and high standards of road safety across Addis Ababa and surrounding areas.

Educational Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Educational Background: Completion of Grade 10 or Grade 12 general secondary education, or an equivalent educational qualification certificate from a recognized institution.
- Driving License: Must hold a valid, active Ethiopian driving license appropriate for the assigned vehicle category.
- Relevant Experience: Demonstrated practical driving experience. Previous work experience in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or similar international development institutions is considered a distinct advantage.
- Geographical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Addis Ababa city routes, traffic regulations, navigation, and surrounding areas.
