The role supports financial reporting, asset control, and audit requirements while providing technical guidance to junior accounting staff.Key Responsibilities• Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, capitalization, transfers, and disposals• Ensure proper recording and reporting of fixed assets in compliance with IFRS and local regulations• Oversee depreciation calculations and monthly/yearly depreciation postings• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers• Coordinate physical asset verification and periodic asset counts• Review asset-related accounting records and supporting documents• Ensure proper accounting treatment of asset additions, disposals, impairments, and revaluations• Prepare fixed asset reports for management and auditors• Support month-end and year-end closing activities• Assist internal and external audit processes• Support ERP system utilization and process improvement initiatives• Guide and support junior accounting staffHow to ApplyInterested applicants who meet the above requirements are invited to submit their CV and application letter, quoting:Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets | Lemi National Cementto:info@ethiocv.comOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
