Senior Accountant at WABEKBON Development PLC

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Position: Senior Accountant Employment Type: Full-time Location: Addis Ababa Company name: Wabekbon Development Consultants plc Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Manage the month-end and year-end closing process. Prepare and monitor budgets and analyze budget variances. Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain the general ledger. Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Generate financial reports using accounting software and ERP systems. About You Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant work experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role. Experience in the hotel and/or restaurant industry is required. Strong experience in audit support, financial closing, and budget preparation . Proficiency in Peachtree and ERP accounting systems . Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail. Proficiency in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo (Oromiffa) is required.
