Safaricom Ethiopia is looking for a qualified person who meets the following criteria.

Safaricom Ethiopia is a part of an international group that includes Vodafone Group, Safaricom PLC, Vodacom Group, Sumitomo Corporation – one of the largest global trading and investment companies, and British International Investment (BII) – a UK development finance institution that focuses on impact investing.

Position 1: Enterprise Systems & Sales Operations Specialist  

Required qualifications:  
• A bachelor’s degree in information systems, telecommunications, business administration, or a related field  
• At least 2 years of experience in enterprise operations, telecom systems, sales operations, or billing environments  
• Experience with CRM systems and enterprise tools  
• Working knowledge of telecom billing and revenue processes  
• Experience in sales operations and workflow management  
• Strong Excel and basic BI reporting skills  
• Exposure to process automation tools and workflows  
• Understanding of enterprise sales processes and order management  
Location of Work: Addis Ababa  

Position 2: Senior Manager – Record to Report  

Qualifications:  
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline  
• Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent  
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, auditing, or financial control roles  
• Experience within a multinational organization, telecommunications environment, shared services environment, or leading audit firm is highly desirable  
• Demonstrated experience in statutory reporting, group reporting, IFRS implementation, and audit management  
• Experience with ERP platforms and finance transformation programs is an added advantage.

Position 3: Lead – Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability  

Required qualifications:  
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in ESG, sustainability, climate change, corporate responsibility, human rights, governance, or enterprise risk management  
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide ESG programs in a large or multinational organization  
• Experience of working with executive leadership, boards, regulators, and external stakeholders  
• Experience in the telecommunications or infrastructure sector is desirable

Position 4: MPESA Marketing Communication and Brand Manager  

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:  
• Experience: 5–7 years in marketing, brand management, or integrated marketing communications  
• Brand & Campaign Management: Proven experience in brand building and integrated marketing campaigns  
• Creative & Agency Management: Strong skills in creative development and managing agencies  
• Consumer Insights: Ability to use research and data to improve marketing performance  
• Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and partners
