Position: MERL Coordinator – SRH Alliance
Role Purpose: The MERL Coordinator provides overall coordination of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) for the SRH Alliance programme in Ethiopia. This role ensures evidence‑based, adaptive, and accountable implementation across alliance members, government partners, and CSOs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, assessments, and outcome harvesting. Ensure high‑quality data management, analysis, visualization, and reporting. Strengthen accountability systems, including Community Feedback and Response Mechanisms (CFRM). Build MERL capacity among staff, partners, and local CSOs. Integrate gender equality, youth participation, disability inclusion, and conflict sensitivity into MERL processes. Design KPI dashboards and monitoring systems using Power BI and Tableau. Produce donor‑friendly reports and advocacy materials using Adobe Creative Suite. Represent the SRH Alliance in technical forums and stakeholder platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Information Science, Reproductive Health, Public Health, Development Studies, Sociology, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 5 years in MERL roles within consortium or alliance programs. Skills: Proficiency in SPSS, R, STATA, Python and qualitative tools like Nvivo. Experience with digital data collection tools (KoBo, CommCare) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Prior experience with SRH programs and Dutch MoFA funded frameworks preferred. Results‑Based Monitoring and PMERL expertise is an asset.
