Role description

Position: Assistant Warehouse Officer

Education & Experience
  • Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or inventory-related role is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management practices.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word).
  • Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming goods and materials.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Support picking, packing, and preparation of orders for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records, including manual logs and warehouse management system (WMS) entries.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of goods from delivery vehicles.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of goods to prevent damage or loss.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor and storage areas.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing delivery notes, invoices, and stock reports.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in daily operational tasks as required.
