MKDSS Smart Card Factory invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for the position of Graphics Designer.

The Graphics Designer will be responsible for creating and adapting designs for smart cards, NFC products, and payment cards (Bank Cards), as well as preparing production-ready artwork in line with customer requirements, technical specifications, and payment scheme branding standards.

Position: Graphics Designer

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications from a recognized institution:

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Pre-press Technology, Production Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

Work Experience

• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a print production environment, preferably in a packaging or label printing company.
• Experience specifically in the smart card industry is an advantage.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in graphic design and pre-press software.
• Strong understanding of color separation, trapping, imposition, and CTP file preparation.
• Knowledge of print production standards, including dimensions, layout, image quality, and font requirements.
• Ability to evaluate artwork for production feasibility and propose technical solutions.
• Familiarity with payment scheme branding guidelines such as Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and adapt designs for smart cards, NFC products, and payment cards according to customer requirements and technical specifications.
• Prepare production files, ensuring correct dimensions, layout, color specifications, image quality, and font requirements.
• Manage customization requests and multiple projects for various clients, including design revisions.
• Prepare files for printing, including color separation, trapping, imposition, and CTP (Computer-to-Plate) preparation.
• Collaborate with the printing department to resolve color or design issues during production.
• Conduct quality control by inspecting output for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams, including Customer Service, Sales, and Production.
• Ensure compliance with strict quality management guidelines (CQM) and payment scheme branding standards such as Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX.
• Evaluate customer artwork for potential production issues and provide suitable technical design solutions.
• Store design samples and design documents systematically according to established procedures.
• Implement company requirements, regulations, decisions, and security policies, and perform other duties assigned by the manager.
