Lovegrass Agro-Processing PLC Job Vacancy

Lovegrass Agro Processing Plc is inviting fresh graduates to join as Junior ESG and Occupational Health Officer.

The Job Purpose is to support the implementation and monitoring of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG), and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs across the factory. The role focuses on assisting with workplace safety inspections, environmental monitoring, compliance documentation, employee awareness, and sustainability initiatives to promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manufacturing environment.

Position 1: Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator (CSR)

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in CSR, ESG, community development, NGO/development programs, agriculture, or project coordination.
• Experience working with NGOs, foundations, farmer organizations, or development partners is an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong communication, community engagement, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Project coordination, report writing, documentation, and data collection.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to field locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate CSR activities, community initiatives, and stakeholder engagement programs.
• Support the Lovegrass Ethiopia Farming and Agricultural Transformation (LEFAT) Foundation in planning, implementation, and reporting.
• Organize farmer training, community outreach, and agricultural development activities.
• Monitor CSR projects, budgets, timelines, and social and environmental impact indicators.
• Maintain beneficiary records, project documentation, and CSR/LEFAT databases.
• Prepare regular CSR and ESG reports and coordinate with NGOs, government institutions, and development partners.

Duty Stations: Addis Ababa and Sululta.

Position 2: Junior ESG and Occupational Health Officer

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental health Science or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 2.8
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety, environmental protection, and industrial risk management is an advantage.
• Knowledge of International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards or other relevant environmental and social sustainability standards is an added advantage but not mandatory.

The Junior ESG and OHS Officer is expected to:

• Complete assigned safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Promptly report hazards, incidents, and unsafe working conditions.
• Support compliance with company safety and environmental procedures.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions and awareness activities.
• Demonstrate continuous learning and a commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
