Role description

Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C. previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC is a privately owned company located in Addis Ababa in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone area. Kadisco is a company that traces its origins back from a small automotive parts dealership that was operating in one of the busy streets of Addis Ababa back in late 60’s.

Today the company produces a full range of paints for the construction, industrial and automotive sectors. It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.

Position: Store Intern – Dispatch

Required Educational Background

  • BA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or any other related business field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of logistics, Stores, and dispatch operations.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP/ERP is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Good numerical and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within Store and Supply Chain operations.

Job Purpose

To support the day-to-day dispatch operations, ensuring finished goods are properly prepared, checked, documented, loaded, and dispatched on time while maintaining accurate records and following company procedures.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the daily dispatch of finished goods according to approved delivery and dispatch schedules.
  • Assist in the picking, checking, preparation, loading, Shipment Scanning and dispatching of finished goods.
  • Verify product description, quantity, batch details, and other relevant information before dispatch.
  • Assist in coordinating dispatch vehicles and drivers to ensure timely loading and delivery.
  • Follow up on vehicle availability and support efficient vehicle movement within the loading and dispatch areas.
  • Prepare and maintain delivery notes, gate passes, dispatch records, and other relevant documents.
  • Support the recording and updating of dispatch transactions in SAP under the supervision of the Senior Executive – Stores.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all dispatched products.
  • Coordinate with Stores, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Security, and other departments concerned to facilitate smooth dispatch.
