Mary Joy Ethiopia is indigenous NGO established in 1994 that delivers integrated humanitarian and development services focused on health, education, livelihoods and protection for vulnerable children, elders and families. Mary Joy Ethiopia is a nonprofit development oriented organization serves the community for the past 31+ years dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities by advancing and implementing integrated development program focuses on livelihood enhancement, education and heath with cross cutting issues of children empowerment, environmental protection, Adolescent and Youth Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS and inclusiveness.
MJE is currently awaiting anticipated support from the U.S. Department of State for a proposed Family-Focused HIV Prevention, Care, and Treatment Project to be implemented in Central Ethiopia, Sidama, Southern Ethiopia, and Southwestern Ethiopia regions. Once approved, the Project aimsto contribute to achieving Ethiopia’s “three 95” global HIV targets

01. Membership Officer

Job Purpose:
The Membership Officer is responsible for recruiting, engaging, and retaining individual and institutional members to strengthen Mary Joy Ethiopia’s sustainability, advocacy, and resource mobilization efforts in support of vulnerable and marginalized communities.
Key Responsibilities (Summary):
- Plan and implement membership recruitment and growth strategies.
- Engage and retain members through events, communication, and outreach.
- Manage membership data, renewals, certificates, and documentation.
- Support membership fee collection and reporting.
- Prepare regular membership performance reports
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related fields.
- IT Dip or certificate or short course is a plus
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience (experience in related positions is an advantage).
- Experience on IT is a plus
