Role description
Jay Jay Textiles invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following junior-level positions. JAY JAY TEXTILES PLC, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, are part of the 50-year-old JAY JAY group with factories in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ethiopia.
Started with our first factory in Ethiopia in 2014, we specialize in the manufacture of infant and baby wear clothing specifically for export to
USA. Our main US customers are GERBER CHILDRENS WEAR, GARAN, CARTERS, THE CHILDREN PLACE, etc.
Position 1: Junior Human Resource Officer
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Basic understanding of HR practices, including recruitment and employee records
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality
- Team-oriented, proactive, and responsible attitude
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the recruitment team with screening, interview scheduling, and document verification
- Support employee orientation and onboarding
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records
- Assist with attendance, leave, and employee data management
- Support employee relations and communication with staff
- Help prepare HR reports and presentations
- Assist senior HR team members with administrative and operational tasks
- Follow company policies, procedures, and HR standards
Position 2: Junior Industrial Engineer
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Basic knowledge of work study, time and motion study, and productivity improvement
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good computer skills, including MS Excel; AutoCAD is an advantage
- Willingness to work on the production floor
- Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct time and motion studies and set standard times
- Support line balancing, layout planning, and capacity planning
- Monitor production efficiency and help identify areas for improvement
- Collect and analyze production data and prepare reports
- Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
- Work with supervisors and line staff to apply improvements
- Assist senior IE team members with operational tasks
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Position 3: Junior Accountant
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or a related field
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, financial records, and accounting principles
- Good computer skills, including MS Excel; knowledge of accounting software is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and honesty
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping and recording of transactions
- Support accounts payable and receivable
- Help with bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll data and expense documentation
- Prepare basic financial reports and keep records organized
- Assist senior accountants with administrative and reporting tasks
- Follow company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
