JaRco Consulting is an international consulting company, established in 2007, with offices in the United States and Ethiopia. Since its establishment, JaRco has provided technical support in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), as well as data collection for development and humanitarian programs.

JaRco is committed to continuously enhancing evidence-based interventions and programs that aim to improve the well-being of individuals and communities, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable populations in Ethiopia and throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Position: Program Intern

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Background: Hold, or be currently pursuing, a Master’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Public Health, Education, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Research Skills: Demonstrated interest in research, monitoring and evaluation, or program implementation; coursework or prior exposure to research methods is an advantage.
• Analytical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R) or data collection tools (e.g., ODK, SurveyCTO) is an advantage.
• Writing Skills: Strong writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to produce clear and well-organized documents.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive and willing-to-learn attitude.
• Language: Fluency in English and Amharic is required. Knowledge of additional Ethiopian languages is an advantage.
