Contract Type: Consultancy (Up to 11 Months)
Initial Contract Duration: 6 Months

Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate will support the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of counter-trafficking and specialized protection activities. The role also contributes to case management, capacity building, stakeholder coordination, project reporting, and strengthening protection services for vulnerable migrants and affected communities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and monitoring of counter-trafficking and protection activities. Compile, analyze, and present project information and operational data. Monitor project budgets and support financial tracking. Coordinate administrative activities related to project implementation. Prepare reports, briefing notes, and project documentation. Organize meetings, workshops, and capacity-building activities. Liaise with government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and other stakeholders. Monitor implementing partners and report project progress. Support the development of standard operating procedures and project concepts. Provide technical guidance and support to team members as assigned. Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following:
Bachelor's Degree in: Political Science Social Sciences International Relations Development Studies Migration Studies Human Rights Law Or a related field
OR
Secondary School Diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in protection, counter-trafficking, migration, or related programmes. Experience coordinating implementing partner agreements and monitoring project activities. Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, or UN agencies is preferred. Experience in case management is an advantage. Experience organizing workshops, meetings, and training programmes.
Required Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and report writing skills. Project coordination and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong computer and database skills. Knowledge of migration, trafficking in persons, and protection issues. Problem-solving and stakeholder coordination skills.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Amharic (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of other Ethiopian languages such as Afaan Oromo, Somali, or Tigrinya is an advantage.
