Job Purpose
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Migration Management and Governance Officer and the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer (LMI), the Project Associate will provide administrative, logistical, and operational support for LMI projects in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Associate will:
Support the administrative and operational implementation of LMI projects. Assist with logistics for trainings, workshops, meetings, assessments, field missions, and other project activities. Prepare and process travel requests, purchase requests, payment requests, consultant contracting support, and related administrative documentation. Maintain organized project files, correspondence, activity records, attendance sheets, visibility materials, procurement tracking, and supporting documents. Follow up with relevant internal units on routine administrative and operational activities. Support procurement and logistics processes for equipment, supplies, and services. Maintain project tracking tools covering activities, expenditures, travel, procurement actions, and deliverables. Support preparation of project documents, including minutes, activity files, briefing materials, and administrative inputs for reports. Provide administrative and logistical support for consultant missions. Support duty travel arrangements and logistical planning for field activities. Assist with administrative coordination across LMI activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
Applicants must have either:
High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience , or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience .
Experience
Relevant experience includes:
Administrative, logistical, or programme support. Supporting trainings, workshops, meetings, or events. Travel, procurement, finance, or operational support. Project implementation support within an international organization, government institution, or similar organization. Maintaining records, trackers, and filing systems. Working with multiple internal units and external counterparts.
Skills
Candidates should have:
Good organizational and administrative skills. Good drafting and record-keeping skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow established procedures. Good knowledge of standard office software. Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
Language Requirements
Required:
Fluent spoken and written Amharic Fluent spoken and written English
Knowledge of another national language is an advantage. Language proficiency may be evaluated through written or oral assessments during the selection process.
