Position Details
Position: Junior Rural Development / Dryland Farming Adviser

Key Responsibilities
Support implementation of dryland agriculture and watershed management activities. Advise communities on sustainable farming and soil conservation practices. Assist with project planning, data collection, and technical reporting. Support Watershed User Cooperatives (WUCs) and community planning. Deliver training on soil moisture management, crop selection, and farming systems. Collaborate with project partners to promote soil health and agroecological practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Dryland Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Rural Development, or a related field.
Experience
Fresh graduates or applicants with up to one year of relevant experience. Knowledge of participatory training methods is preferred. Familiarity with dryland farming, flood-based agriculture, or soil and water conservation is an advantage.
Required Skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills. High integrity, accountability, and motivation. Willingness to travel regularly to regional project areas. Very good English and Afarigna or Somaligna communication skills (mandatory).
