Role description

EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks (private and public) operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia, MFIs, PIIs, and PSOs. 

EthSwitch is mandated to Create Interoperability between financial institutions, Implement Domestic Payment Scheme, provide National Payment Gateway, serve as Central Inter connectivity for clearing & settlement and provide Shared Platform /Infrastructure services. 

Position: Receptionist

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma or TVET Level 10+4 in ICT, Secretarial Sciences, Office Management, or other related fields.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Management or a related field.

Work Experience

  • Diploma holders: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree holders: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Professional telephone handling and customer service.
  • Ability to interact effectively with visitors, clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors, clients, and guests professionally.
  • Receive and manage incoming telephone calls.
  • Direct callers and visitors to the appropriate departments or staff.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional reception environment.
  • Support effective communication between visitors and employees.

Reports To: General Service Division Manager.

Terms of Employment: Fixed-term contract of one year and six months.
