ESX is Ethiopia’s first, and only organized securities exchange. ESX is being established as a public private partnership in line with Article 31 of the Capital Market Proclamation (No.1248/2021).

ESX operates the business of a securities exchange, functions as a Self-Regulatory Organization (“SRO”), and serves as the central market organizer providing an integrated product suite covering the equities, fixed income, and money market segments of the capital markets.

Position: Network and Security Engineer

Qualification Required:

• MSc/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field of study.
• At least five (5) years of progressive experience in IT security, network administration, IT support or related areas.
• Relevant network management and security certification.
• Proven knowledge and experience in network security, administration, design and implementation.
• Experienced in infrastructure (hardware and related software) specification and evaluation.
• Experienced in troubleshooting, diagnosis and solving incidents on infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and implement network configuration for maximum efficiency and uptime.
• Analyze and implement security protocols, application firewalls and firewalls to defend against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor infrastructure and systems to detect unauthorized access, breaches, or anomalies.
• Monitor network performance, traffic patterns, and bandwidth capacity to prevent bottlenecks.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate infrastructure risks, device failures, and performance issues.
• Provision, configure, and manage secure cloud resources and hybrid infrastructure environments.
