Ethiopian Securities Exchange Job Vacancy 2026

ESX represents Ethiopia’s inaugural and sole organized securities exchange. It is being developed as a public-private partnership in accordance with Article 31 of the Capital Market Proclamation (No.1248/2021).

ESX conducts the operations of a securities exchange, acts as a Self-Regulatory Organization (“SRO”), and functions as the central market organizer, offering a comprehensive product suite that encompasses the equities, fixed income, and money market segments of the capital markets.

Position 1: Procurement and Purchasing Officer

Qualification Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, purchasing, facilities management, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in general service roles, procurement, logistics, facilities management, or a related field, at least two years’ experience served in a senior capacity as a team leader or relevant role.

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Legal Officer

Qualification Required:  

• First or Second Degree Law
• At least five (5-7) years of progressive experience in a law office with a focus area of corporate law and related areas of practice

Competency requirements: 

• Current knowledge of industry practices, trends, and issues.
• A high degree of computer literacy.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member in a private multi-cultural environment.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills, ethical and high-level of integrity.
• A positive “can-do” attitude, open-minded & sense of ownership.

Position 3: Compliance Manager

Qualification Required:  

• BA or Second degree in law, business administration, finance, management, or related field.
• Certification in specialized compliance related fields/disciplines is desirable.

Position 4: Network and Security Engineer

Qualification Required:

• MSc/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field of study.
• At least five (5) years of progressive experience in IT security, network administration, IT support or related areas.
• Relevant network management and security certification.
• Proven knowledge and experience in network security, administration, design and implementation.
• Experienced in infrastructure (hardware and related software) specification and evaluation.
• Experienced in troubleshooting, diagnosis and solving incidents on infrastructure.
