Role description
The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation is currently seeking applications for the recruitment of graduates who fulfill the criteria for the following positions:
The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) is a state-owned enterprise that was established on December 18, 2015, in accordance with Council of Ministers Regulation No. 366/2015. It has an authorized capital of Birr 20,313,608,143.90, of which Birr 15,598,806,251.43 has been contributed in cash and in kind. The establishment of the corporation was amended by Council of Ministers Regulation No. 390/2016 on September 28, 2016.
Position 1: Civil Engineer (QA/QC Engineer)
Qualification: BSC Degree in Civil Engineer or COTM 2 Years Experience.
Technical Competencies
The candidate shall have practical experience in:
- Preparing and implementing Project Quality Plans (PQP).
- Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA).
- Preparing and following up Material Submittals.
- Preparing and managing Work Inspection Requests (WIR).
- Preparing and managing Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
- Raising, tracking, and closing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Leading Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
- Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, applicable codes, and quality standards.
- Coordinating quality documentation and maintaining QA/QC records.
Communication & Coordination Skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to effectively coordinate with:
Site Engineers and Construction Teams, Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors
Other project stakeholders - Ability to prepare professional reports and communicate quality issues clearly.

Position 2: Civil Engineer (Fitout Engineer)
Qualification: BSC Degree in Civil Engineer or COTM 2 Years experience.
The candidate shall have practical experience in:
• Able to prepare work plans for project activities.
• Capable of designing project activities and operations.
• Conduct quality control and inspection of material inputs.
• Review and verify payment requisition works.
• Coordinate and supervise the working conditions of professionals and labor workers.
• Compile daily performance data and submit reports.
• Perform and facilitate the execution of other related tasks as required.
