Engineering Corporation of Oromia Internal/External Vacancy Announcement:
Position 1: Work Inspector (WI-05)
Educational Qualification
- BSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Work Inspector in road construction projects.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of road construction inspection and quality control.
- Ability to monitor construction activities and compliance with project specifications.
- Afaan Oromo language proficiency is advantageous.
Duty Stations: Finfinne and Shaggar (Dukem–Galan–UNISA, Bole Dildiy–Bole Michael–Kalit–Dipo) and Bishoftu–Adama Expressway Road Projects.
Number Required: 3
Contract Duration: 6 months.
Salary: As per the corporation’s salary scale.
Position 2: Quantity Surveyor (QS-04)
Educational Qualification
- BSc or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 8 years for BSc holders or 6 years for MSc holders.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on road construction projects.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction quantity surveying, measurement, and cost estimation.
- Experience in road project quantity calculations and documentation.
- Afaan Oromo language proficiency is advantageous.
Duty Station: Shaggar (Dukem–Galan–UNISA).
Contract Duration: 6 months.
Salary: As per the corporation’s salary scale.
Position 3: Resident Engineer (RE-03)
Educational Qualification
- BSc or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience in road, bridge, airport, railway, or construction projects.
Required Skills
- Strong construction project supervision and engineering management skills.
- Experience coordinating infrastructure construction activities.
- Knowledge of engineering quality standards and project implementation.
- Afaan Oromo language proficiency is advantageous.
Duty Stations: Finfinne (Kalit–Dipo and Bole Dildiy–Bole Michael Road Projects).
Contract Duration: 6 months.
Salary: As per the corporation’s salary scale.
Position 4: Senior Watershed Management Expert (SWME-02)
Educational Qualification
- BSc or MSc Degree in Watershed Management, Soil and Water Conservation, or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of proven experience for BSc holders or 10 years for MSc holders.
- Experience in large- and medium-scale dam-based irrigation projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Arc-SWAT software for sediment yield analysis.
- Knowledge of Google Earth Engine and remote sensing technologies.
- Experience in watershed management and soil and water conservation.
- Practical understanding of dam-based irrigation projects.
- Afaan Oromo language proficiency is advantageous.
Duty Station: Finna Oromia East Borana and Borana Zone Project.
Contract Duration: 12 months.
Salary: As per the corporation’s salary scale.
