Elsabi Micro Finance

Elsabi Micro Finance Institution (EMFI) focuses on supporting small and micro enterprise owners and small-scale farmers, with a specific emphasis on empowering women economically and creating employment opportunities for youth.
The areas where EMFI will establish branches or sub-offices will be determined based on a feasibility study. These areas will then be divided into smaller regions among SACOs, taking into account factors like population size, the concentration of potential clients, the average distance to reach them, physical infrastructure, and other relevant considerations. EMFI will prioritize micro-entrepreneurs who meet the following criteria:  
- Citizens and residents within the designated geographic area of the target market  
- Guarantors who are Ethiopian citizens  
- Women (encouraged and preferably in the majority)  
- Individuals with dependent children in their households or those who employ others with dependent children  
- Active micro-entrepreneurs who are economically poor and operate within the local community, including rural, semi-urban, and urban areas  
EMFI branches must also consider the risks involved and the higher costs associated with serving these target clients.

Position 1: Junior Risk and Compliance Officer  

Key Responsibilities:  
- Collaboration and Reporting: Reports to the Risk and Compliance Head or CEO  

What We’re Looking For  
Experience:  
- Minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in the relevant field  
- Experience in a Micro Finance Institution is an advantage  

Education & Certifications:  
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
