Role description
Elsabi Micro Finance Institution S.Co. (EMFI) is a formal microfinance provider in Ethiopia licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia on June 8, 2022. The institution relies heavily on state-of-the-art mobile technology to bridge the financial gap for unbanked micro and small-scale businesses, low-income earners, farmers, women, and youth.
Position 1: Junior Risk and Compliance Officer
Education/Qualification:
– BA Degree in Accounting.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in the related field.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution is an asset.
Reports To: Risk and Compliance Head / CEO
Location: Addis Ababa, Main Office
Salary: Competitive salary based on the institution’s scale.
Position 2: Branch Cashier/Branch Manager
Education/Qualification:
– College Diploma in Accounting or Level IV in Accounting.
Experience:
- 2 years of related work experience.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution is an asset.
Location: Addis Ababa

Position 3: Saving and Credit Officer
Education/Qualification:
– BA Degree in Accounting.
Experience:
- 1 year of related work experience.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution is an asset.
Reports To: SACCO-I / Branch Manager I

Position 4: Branch Accountant I/Branch
Education/Qualification:
– BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in the related field.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution is an asset.
Reports To: Manager I
Location: Addis Ababa

Position 5: Business Development and Resource Mobilization
Education/Qualification:
– MBA/MA or BA/BSc Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance.
Experience:
- 4–6 years of work experience in microfinance, banking, insurance or related fields.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution is an asset.
Reports To: Manager / CEO

Position 6: Senior Risk and Internal Audit
Education/Qualification:
