Elegance General Trading PLC (also linked with ELEGAS Ethiopia Trading PLC) is an Ethiopian company involved in diverse sectors, notably as a major partner for Yango Ethiopia (ride-hailing, providing customer support/operations), specializing in premium Ethiopian coffee export (Elegance Coffee), and offering event planning, wedding décor, and imported event furniture.

Position: Accountant

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a private company)
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree,)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities
• High level of integrity and attention to detail

🏆 Preferred Skills

• Experience in audit preparation
• Experience in transport, or service sector
• Female Applicant is an advantage.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Supervise junior accountants and finance staff
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
• Prepare and file VAT, Withholding Tax, and Payroll tax reports
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Conduct bank and cash reconciliations
• Support internal and external audits
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records
• Implement and monitor internal control procedures
• Prepare management financial reports and analysis
