About the Role
Digaf & Micro‑Credit Provider SC is seeking 4 Junior Internal Auditors to strengthen its internal audit team. The role involves supporting risk‑based audits, ensuring compliance with National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) regulations , and assisting in fraud prevention and internal control processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in conducting risk‑based internal audits in line with NBE Directive No. MFI/32/2023 . Evaluate compliance with NBE prudential regulations, AML/CFT proclamations, and governance guidelines. Perform audit tests on financial transactions, loan approvals, and treasury operations. Identify fraud risks, internal control weaknesses, and non‑compliance issues; prepare reports with recommendations. Support quarterly internal audit reports for submission to NBE and the Board Audit Committee. Assist in investigations of fraud and irregularities per NBE fraud prevention guidelines. Follow up on corrective actions from previous audit findings.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Experience: 1–2 years in auditing, preferably within MFIs or banks. Knowledge: NBE Microfinance Directives, IFRS, AML/CFT laws, and risk‑based audit methodologies.
Required Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent documentation and report writing abilities. Proficiency in audit software (TeamMate, ACL). Effective communication in English and Amharic. Creativity and adaptability.
