Role description
The Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs–Ethiopia (CCP/Ethiopia) is implementing the Community Service as Pathways to Work (CSPW) Project in 125 districts across the Amhara, Oromia, Southwest Ethiopia, and Central Ethiopia Regions, in collaboration with the Youth Network for Sustainable Development (YNSD) and with support from the Mastercard Foundation.
The project aims to expand opportunities for young Ethiopians to access dignified and fulfilling work through community service while strengthening self-efficacy, leadership, and business development skills.

01. Data Collectors
Location: Selected field woredas/towns, Ethiopia | Deadline: September 19, 2026
Job Description
CCP/Ethiopia will conduct the following assessments:
- Stakeholder mapping and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) in 15 towns
- Youth participant surveys
- Enterprise growth assessments
To support these activities, CCP/Ethiopia is recruiting qualified short-term Data Collectors and Field Supervisors for need-based field assignments.
Terms of Engagement
- Type: Short-term / need-based
- Duty Station: Selected field woredas/towns
- Reports to: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, CCP/Ethiopia
Key Deliverables Data Collectors
- Completed surveys/interviews and electronic datasets
- KII notes/transcripts, where applicable
- Daily field progress reports
- Field challenge/incident reports, where applicable
- Final individual field report
Roles and Responsibilities

Qualification Requirements Data Collectors
- BA/BSc in Economics, Business Management, Social Sciences, or related fields
- At least 3 years of data collection experience
- Strong communication and interviewing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in relevant local languages

Qualification Requirements
- Master’s degree in economics, Social Sciences, or related fields
- At least 3 years of field supervision experience
