Cheshire Ethiopia is an autonomous non-profit organization dedicated to providing orthopedic and social rehabilitation services to children and young individuals with disabilities in Ethiopia.
Founded in 1962 by the grandchildren of the late Emperor Haile Selassie, with the technical assistance of Captain Leonard Cheshire, CE operates as a local independent NGO. It is staffed by Ethiopians and is registered as an Ethiopian Resident Charity, taking a prominent role in the physical rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities, particularly children, throughout Ethiopia.
Position: Receptionist and Secretary
Qualification
- Diploma or level III or Level II in information science or Secretarial science and office management or related
experience
- 2 years work experience for diploma and Level III and 3 years for Level II
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the manager, the receptionist-secretary is responsible to receive all clients’ direct services category and prepare preliminary documents and files; clients’ bio-data on the files for the services provider. Perform secretariat services as required.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives and responds to service users queries promptly and courteously.
- Fills client bio-data on the file for the services provided at the center.
- Directs service users to the correct destination or to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). at the center.
- Schedules appointments for service users and calls accordingly.
- Keeps reports of children with disabilities who receive rehabilitation on call.
- Handles secretarial duties for the center
- Maintains appointment in log book and data system.
- Keeps up to date service users’ record in the data system on daily base.
- Assists in managing personnel files.
- Respects CE’s employees administrative manual, rules and regulation and also observe work ethics.
- performs any related jobs assigned to her/him immediate supervisor.
Benefit
- 500 per month transport allowance and 15,000 medical expense per year
