Bilal Microfinance Institution S.C. is a full-fledge interest free microfinance institution established based on the NBE Directive No. MFI/32/2021 to provide sharia compliant and inclusive microfinance services that provide access to the community excluded from financial services due to interest.
Position 1: Branch Accountant
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; OR
- College Diploma (Level IV/10+3) in Accounting or a related field with 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience:
- 0 years for Bachelor’s Degree holders.
- 2 years for College Diploma holders.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution (MFI) is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
- Prepare financial reports and account reconciliations.
- Process payments and receipts in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support branch operations and maintain proper financial documentation.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Computer application proficiency.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Position 2: Customer Relationship Officer (CRO)
Qualification:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Management, or a related field from a recognized higher education institution; OR
- College Diploma (Level V/10+3) in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution (MFI) or the Banking Industry is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of credit operations and customer service.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office.
- Integrity, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa and Other Branches
Position 3: Branch Manager
Qualification:
- BA Degree or MBA in Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field from a recognized higher education institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience for BA Degree holders; OR
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience for MBA holders.
- Experience in a Microfinance Institution, Banking, or Insurance Industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise overall branch operations.
- Lead loan processing, portfolio management, and savings mobilization activities.
- Ensure efficient branch performance and achievement of business targets.
- Approve loans and branch payments within delegated authority.
- Ensure timely loan disbursement, collection, and portfolio quality.
- Supervise daily financial transactions and maintain proper cash control.
- Prepare and submit periodic operational and financial reports.
- Build strong relationships with customers, communities, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and NBE regulations.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate branch staff to improve performance and teamwork.
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Sound knowledge of credit operations, savings mobilization, and branch management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Core Banking Systems and Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
- High integrity, accountability, and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of interest-free financing principles and products.
