Job Title: Assistant Machinery Sales and Marketing manager
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market-share objectives.
Lead, supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of the machinery sales and marketing team.
Establish sales targets, monitor team performance, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Identify and develop new markets, customer segments, dealer networks, and strategic business opportunities.
Manage relationships with key accounts and corporate clients.
Oversee and support the sales team in preparing quotations, technical proposals, commercial offers, and contract negotiations.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of major tender opportunities and framework agreements.
Review and approve tender submissions, bid strategies, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
Coordinate cross-functional support for tender preparation, including technical, financial, legal, and operational inputs.
Plan and manage marketing campaigns, product launches, exhibitions, trade fairs, and promotional activities.
Foster teamwork and collaboration across sales, marketing, technical, workshop, after-sales, and spare-parts departments.
Analyse market trends, customer demands, competitor activities, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners to strengthen market presence and customer satisfaction.
Prepare annual sales forecasts,budgets, pipeline reports, and management presentations.
Ensure effective customer relationship management and retention strategies across all business segments.
Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tender management, team performance, and operational efficiency.
Represent the company in high-level negotiations, industry events, strategic partnerships, and major customer engagements.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Typically 6+ years of proven experience in technical sales, specifically handling machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial products.
Skills:
Strong technical understanding of machinery, excellent negotiation and communication abilities, and a proven track record of target achievement.
