Role description

AL-MAHI Trading PLC is looking for motivated and target-oriented applicants to join its sales team in Addis Ababa. The successful candidates will be responsible for expanding sales, developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving assigned sales targets.

Position 1: Sales Officer

Required Qualification

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Previous experience in sales is preferred.
  • Experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical, consumer products, distribution, or related businesses is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales potential may also be considered.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good customer-service and negotiation skills.
  • Target-oriented and results-driven.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Good knowledge of Addis Ababa’s market is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills and good reporting ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Fluency in Amharic; knowledge of additional Ethiopian languages is an advantage.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Position 2: Sales & Product Promoter

Required Qualification and Experience

Education

  • BSc in Pharmacy, or BSc in Nutrition from a recognized university.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical sales, nutrition product sales, medical/product promotion, pharmacy-related sales, FMCG, or a similar position.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good sales and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-oriented and target-driven.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical and/or nutritional products.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good reporting and basic computer skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Fluency in Amharic and Afaan Oromo is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Dire Dawa market is an advantage.
