Job Description
The Mobility Aid Technician will work in the wheelchair workshop, where wheelchairs are tailored to the individual needs and circumstances of the people using them. The role offers an opportunity to develop specialized wheelchair service skills with support from an experienced team.
During the first two years, the organization aims to develop the successful candidate from a technician into a wheelchair technician through practical learning, knowledge sharing, and skills development.
Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or Level IV in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Mechanics, Machine Technology/Manufacturing, Metal Fabrication, General Mechanics, or a related technical field. Hands-on technical skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Keen attention to detail. Curiosity and willingness to discover and learn new things. Positive attitude and a sense of humor. Enjoyment of working and interacting with people. Previous technical, mechanical, welding, or related experience is an advantage. Willingness to learn is highly valued.
