1. Regional TB Laboratory System Strengthening & EQA Manager

Employment Type: Contract (1 Year Renewable)
Location: Addis Ababa

Role Summary

The Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of tuberculosis (TB) laboratory services by ensuring compliance with national standards, coordinating External Quality Assessment (EQA) activities, and providing technical support. Under the supervision of the national reference and TB program, the manager will oversee TB diagnostics to improve testing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assure participation in TB EQA schemes and laboratory networking activities.
  • Disseminate updated guidelines on TB diagnostic methods and logistical procedures.
  • Coordinate AFB microscopy trainings and ensure proper capacity building for lab personnel.
  • Assist in procuring EQA program supplies and adequate resources for laboratories.
  • Review quality control records, initiate corrective actions, and prepare timely EQA reports.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Medical Laboratory Technology or Microbiology.
  • Experience: 14 years for BSc, 12 years for MSc, or 10 years for PhD (with at least 6 years in an international or government development project context).
  • Skills: Routine use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet systems. Statistical analysis skills are an advantage.

2. Sub-City & District Parents Counseling and Capacity Building Expert

Role Summary
