Addis Ababa Business Trading Enterprise (AABTE) is inviting eligible university and college students and recent graduates to apply for its 2026 Internship Program. The program provides practical workplace exposure and professional development opportunities across business, sales, logistics, finance, manufacturing, food technology, and engineering-related areas.
About Addis Ababa Business Trading Enterprise
The Addis Ababa Business Trading Enterprise (AABTE) was established by the Addis Ababa City Administration to contribute to market stabilization and reliable access to essential goods.
The Enterprise is involved in the supply of industrial products and agricultural commodities, as well as domestic trade, import-export activities, and connections with international markets.
AABTE Internship Program 2026
The internship program offers placements in two broad areas:
1. Head Office and Sales Centers
Relevant Fields of Study:
Marketing Management Business Management Business Administration Commerce Economics Management Entrepreneurship Retail Management Logistics and Supply Chain Management Procurement Inventory and Warehouse Management Accounting Finance Other related fields

2. Factory and Engineering Operations

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants for the AABTE Internship Program should meet the following requirements:
Be 18 years of age or older . Be currently enrolled at a recognized university or college, or have graduated within the past 2 years . Have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 . Have a field of study relevant to the selected internship area. Be available for the required internship period. Have basic communication and computer skills.
What the Internship Program Offers
Successful interns may gain:
Practical exposure to the operations of a large government enterprise. Hands-on workplace experience. Opportunities to develop technical and professional skills. Development of communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Mentorship and supervision from experienced professionals and managers. Performance feedback during the internship. Participation in structured training, departmental assignments, and practical projects. Certificate of Completion and Experience Letter after successful completion. Recommendation Letter for interns who demonstrate exceptional performance. Potential consideration for the organization's Talent Pool based on performance.
Selection Process
Applicants who pass the initial screening may be invited to an interview.
Depending on the internship area, the selection process may also include one or more of the following:
Written test Technical assessment Practical evaluation
Only shortlisted applicants will proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
