Position: Junior Information Management Officer (JIMO)
Summary: The Junior Information Management Officer will support implementation of information management, disaster preparedness, anticipatory action, and capacity‑building activities. Working under the Senior Information Management Officer, the JIMO will contribute to producing high‑quality information products, managing humanitarian datasets, delivering training, and supporting coordination mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce infographics, dashboards, maps, and situation reports using approved datasets Support data collection, cleaning, validation, and reporting (3W/4W/5W matrices, SitReps, donor reports) Assist in assessments, surveys, and coordination meetings with humanitarian partners Contribute to training programs on IM, GIS, visualization, and reporting Develop digital learning resources (guides, tutorials, e‑learning materials) Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of training impact
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Humanitarian Studies, or related fields Minimum 2 years of experience in information management, data analysis, or training support in humanitarian/development sector Practical experience with at least two tools: Excel, KoboToolbox, Power BI, QGIS Strong communication skills; fluency in English (mandatory), Amharic preferred; Afan Oromo, Somali, or Tigrinya an advantage Willingness to travel frequently (up to 60%) to field locations in Ethiopia Ethiopian nationality required
