Candidate Guidance: How to Prepare for Teacher Registration

Government teacher registration is strict, and applicants are often turned away for small document mistakes. Follow these steps before you go:

Match your degree exactly: Compare the title on your degree with the list for your chosen field. Only the listed fields of study are accepted.
Check your graduation year: Graduate-pool applicants must have graduated in 2016, 2017, or 2018 E.C. If you graduated earlier, check the in-service rules.
Get a fresh experience letter: In-service teachers need a letter issued within the last 3 months from a government school, so request it from your school before the registration week starts.

Bring originals and copies: Carry your original degree, temporary results if relevant, and clear photocopies of every document.
Carry a valid ID: You must register in person and show an ID. Nobody can register for you.
Arrive within the hours: Registration runs only in two short sessions each day. Arrive early in the morning session to avoid queues.

Do not use private or mission school experience: It is not accepted, so do not rely on it to qualify.
